The Sanskrit word Ayurveda stems from two roots: ayus which means life or life cycle and vid which means knowledge. So Ayurveda is the knowledge of daily living and the life cycle — a system of achieving and maintaining health. Ayurveda teaches that health is sustained through the balance of three vital energetic forces known collectively as the Doshas, and individually as Vata, Pitta, and Kapha. The purpose of Ayurveda is to bring these three forces into harmony to promote physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being.

One on one private consultations from an Ayurvedic perspective can guide and support your health and well-being from a variety of perspectives and practices. A consultation may include, but is not limited to, utilizing food and superfood formulas as medicine. Advocating or educating on lifestyle changes for balanced health. Offering exercise and stress reduction techniques, and/or yoga practices to support one’s health or to address a current health condition, or longer standing health condition. Utilizing or educating hands on practices, techniques, or recommendations. Kristen Rae uses her training in adjunct practices such as Jyotish as well as her Ayurvedic education to guide her clients into whole health vitality.
