Bliss and Beyond with Michael Bartelle

Treat yourself to a relaxing and inspiring interlude from the intensity of the summer's heat. This practice will open with a series of restorative poses that are cooling, calming, and sequenced specifically to pave the way for a state of profound stillness in the meditation that follows. 

As props support your body in comfortable and soothing restorative positions, breath awareness and guided visualizations will help you bring deep states of serenity to your mind and your nervous system. The resulting sense of alert ease that inhabits your entire being will light the way toward what yogis call ananda, or the experience of divine bliss, as the practice culminates in an 18-minute seated meditation. 

This workshop is open to yogis of all levels. No prior restorative or meditation experience necessary. 

Bio: Michael Bartelle received 500 hours of Ishta Yoga teacher training under Yogiraj Alan Finger, Jean Koerner, and Sarah Platt-Finger. He has also studied restorative yoga with Judith Lasater, and Marma Point Therapy with Alan Finger. Michael's aim in his teaching is to help students integrate their bodies with their breath - and stop taking their minds so seriously! - so that they can experience themselves as complete and blissful in this moment. 

Cancellation policy - Full pre-payment at the time of enrollment is required to reserve a space in workshops. Refunds are given for cancellations made 48 hours or more prior to workshop start date. Cancellations made less than 48 hours prior to workshop start date are non refundable. If ISHTA yoga cancels the workshop, a full credit or refund will be issued. ISHTA yoga reserves the right to amend this policy at its discretion on a case-by-case basis.
