KARA SEKULER

Kara V. Sekuler began a professional career in ballet and musical theater at 12 years old in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, her hometown. In 1995, she was inspired by Alan Finger, co-founder of Yoga Works, Yoga Zone and Be Yoga, to devote herself to teaching yoga. Kara has also studied extensively with Kevin Gardiner (Iyengar Institute), Leslie Kaminoff (Advanced Anatomy at the Breathing Project), Glenn Black and Richard Freeman (Ashtanga). Her classes combine athletic flow on the breath, detailed alignment and a lighthearted sense of humor. Kara graduated summa cum laude from CUNY with a degree in Anatomy and Human Movement. She is a leader in Yoga Works Teacher Training program and teaches Anatomy and Physiology for Yoga Works and ISHTA Yoga.
