“Practice becomes firmly grounded when well attended to for a long time, without break and in all earnestness.” Yoga Sutras of Patanjali: 1.14
Traditionally, yoga was handed down from teacher to student on an individual basis. The purpose of this was for the teacher to initiate the student into his or her sadana, or daily practice. As we have daily regimens of brushing our teeth and combing our hair, we also need to have a regimen to realign the body, clear the mind, and refresh the spirit. This workshop will provide the tools to allow you to build your own yoga practice in the comfort of your own home. Some of the concepts that will be explored are:
- How to develop a yoga sequence that balances both strength and flexibility
- How to set the framework to allow you to flow with your own intuition
- How to create a foundation for daily meditation All levels are welcome.
Students are encouraged to bring pen and paper or a journal.
