There are many physical, energetic, and mental benefits to practicing inversions. Inversions strengthen our upper body and core while improving concentration, coordination, circulation and balance. They teach us how to calm the mind when approaching challenges and moving into the unknown. Yet it is easy to see why they can be, for some people, super intimidating or seemingly impossible. Fortunately, with foundational in-depth instruction and guidance to help you tailor your inversion practice to the uniqueness of your body, it becomes clearer how to make inversions a safe, exciting, and rewarding part of a balanced yoga practice.
In each of these workshops, Cassandra will lead you through a sequence to prepare and inform the body for the inversion at hand. You will learn techniques to condition the body for the strength and flexibility required of these poses that you can integrate into your daily practice. Step-by-step instructions will be provided, aimed at dissolving confusion or fear and creating a hopeful and playful space for students of every level. Expect variations accessible to beginner students, as well as the option to explore challenging variations for those with a more developed practice.
