Experience individual energetic harmonization through sound and a one-on-one mini marma experience during this deeply rejuvenating workshop.
Marma therapy is a method of clearing stress from the muscles, soft tissues, fascia, and vital points of the body. Focusing on releasing deep layers of tension stored in the physical and energetic body, we will utilize a combination of marma, restorative and gentle yoga poses in conjunction with sound healing to allow the mind and body to rejuvenate and return to a calmer, clearer state. Attendees will receive a brief introduction to the basics of ISHTA marma along with learning some self marma points to revitalize your energy.
As we hold each asana and soak in the healing vibrations of the Tibetan Bowls, we will gradually release prana (life-force energy) along the marma lines which follow the path of the five major elements (earth, water, air, fire, and space) within. To enhance the release and unfasten any resistance in the body or mind, each attendee will receive one-on-one marma to release any points hindering your energy and additionally the Singing Bowls will be moved around the room allowing all participants to experience individual energetic healing through sound. This will deepen and enhance the effects of the restorative asana and clear physical and energetic blockages along the marma lines. This potent combination will allow the mind and body to return to a calmer, clearer state.
Phoebe Joel is a leading international expert in Tibetan Sound Healing, an ancient healing modality that utilizes the deep vibrations and soothing sounds of Tibetan Singing Bowls. She is also an accomplished ISHTA trained yoga instructor specialising in yin, restorative, yoga nidra and meditation and divides her time between Sydney and New York. Sarah Finger is the co-founder of ISHTA Yoga, LLC and the private yoga teacher of Dr. Deepak Chopra. She has shared the elevating tools of ISHTA to the yoga community worldwide through trainings, workshops, and retreats which she co-teaches with her husband, Yoga Master Alan Finger. Sarah believes that the practice of yoga can be used as a microcosm of the reality we create for ourselves off the mat, and that a deeper awareness of our physical, mental, and emotional habits can both transform and empower us to connect to our most authentic self.
