A Restorative/Yoga Nidra Workshop to Balance Sahasrara Chakra with Mona Anand
Date: Tuesday, November 12th | 6:30–9:00pm
Mystics from most spiritual traditions and now science describe a unified field in which all of existence is embedded. We have the capacity to plug ourselves into this unified field of intelligence through our Sahasrara Chakra (crown chakra). The entire practice including the asana, restorative poses, visualizations and yoga nidra will be designed to help us connect us to this unified field and then reground us so that we can bring this inspiration and intelligence back into our lives.
The practice will begin with a gentle guided vinyasa and stretching to release stress in the breath and tension from muscles and joints. Participants will then recline on bolsters to the sound of soothing music, the aroma of essential oils and gentle hands on adjustments. Each restorative pose will be held for about ten to fifteen minutes. The workshop will end with a thirty to forty minute long yoga nidra, a meditation technique based on an ancient tantric technique called Nyasa and practiced in savasana.
