Samadhi is the state of yoga, and it is the first pada, or pillar of the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali. This matrix of pure consciousness is our true nature and our birthright, but it gets clouded by our thoughts and attachments. In this workshop, Alan and Sarah will draw inspiration from Alan's most recent book: Tantra of the Sutras, to illuminate and integrate the teachings of the sage Patanjali.

A practice designed to help cool us down and surrender when we're feeling overheated, easily aggravated and on overdrive In the Ayurvedic system we are made up of five elements: earth, water, fire, air, and space. We each have our unique mix of these elements that make up our physical and mental constitution. Disease is caused when there is an imbalance in the mix of these elements from our unique mix of these elements at birth.

Kirtan is an ancient yoga practice that uses musical chanting to alter a yogi’s energy. The repeated use of the chanted mantra reinforced by the energy of a group is a powerful tool for bringing an immediate sense of transformation and well-being. Psych Rock Kirtan is a contemporary exploration of this ancient practice, co-developed over many years by ISHTA Yogiraj Peter Ferko together with critically-acclaimed musician and yogini Idgy Dean.
