Private sessions can be an incredible way to tailor the yoga experience to the individual. They can be rewarding on many levels for both teacher and student, and are a great way to sustain a living as a yoga teacher. But it requires developing a different skill set as a teacher, and a different mindset and approach than a class.
This workshop defines and distills that approach, so we are meeting each student who comes our way exactly where they are, and delivering a session that meets their deepest needs. We will discuss the most important elements of working with private clients, including how to differentiate the group and private experience, sequencing for each student, and the importance of creating a comprehensive first session so that you get as full a picture as possible of your student’s abilities and needs.
You will come away with a pdf to ground you in the material, including example sequences for a first session, as well as access to a video of a comprehensive first private session filmed live.
This workshop is a part of Cassandra’s ongoing training series, The Art + Science of Working with Private Clients. Continuing Education credits are available with each workshop.
