A practice designed to bring compassion, self love and balance into our lives.
Anahata (heart) chakra is the energy center that governs relationship in our lives; our relationship with ourselves and others. When this energy center is tamasic or underactive we can be judgmental, intolerant, struggle with forgiveness and suffer from depression. When this energy center is rajasic or overactive we can be clingy, jealous and demanding of others. When balanced we have healthy relationships and are both compassionate and self loving. The entire practice including the asana, restorative poses, pranayama and yoga nidra will be designed to bring balance to this energy center.
The practice begins with a gentle guided vinyasa to release stress in the breath and tension from the muscles and joints. Participants will then recline on bolsters accompanied by the aroma of essential oils and gentle hands on adjustments. Each restorative pose will be held for about ten to fifteen minutes. The workshop will end with a thirty to forty-minute long yoga nidra designed to balance the heart chakra.
