A practice designed to release blocked feelings and memories and to expand into and enjoy life.

Swa means the place of self. It is where our past experiences and memories that lie in our unconscious are stored.  We take in the world through our senses and the world we take in creates sensation and feeling in our bodies based on whether we like or dislike the experience. Swadhisthana chakra governs this relationship with duality that exists in life; pleasure and pain, likes and dislikes, desire and repulsion.  It is also where we go to plant our sankalpa (intentions) that we want to manifest.

When this energy center is balanced we’re in touch with our feelings, comfortable with intimacy and able to manage the duality of life; pleasure /pain, likes  /dislikes.  When this energy center is underactive /tamasic our senses are dulled and we are unable to feel pleasure and enjoy life. When this energy center is overactive / rajasic we are addicted to short term pleasure, ruled by our feelings and unable to follow through with what really brings us joy.

This workshop will include restorative, pranayama, visualization and yoga nidra all designed to balance swadhisthana chakra. The long Yoga Nidra Practice, “Riding the Bubble into the Ocean of the Unconscious”  is designed to release blocked memories and  help us to connect to our true desires.
