Alan and Sarah are very excited to be coming across the pond to London for a very small (14 person) retreat July 8-12. We will be focusing on The Yoga Sutras of Patanjali. The Yoga Sutras are 196 aphorisms, or “threads” that explore human consciousness, the mind, and how to align with universal Truth. In this 5 day immersion, we will explore some of the most poignant sutras from this classical text, inspired by Alan’s recently released book with Wendy Newton: “Tantra of the Sutras.” Every day will begin with an asana practice led by myself, where we will explore different Sutras through the art of integration, followed by a powerful meditation by Alan, a break for lunch, then an inspiring discussion with Alan which will look at the Sutras through a Tantric lens. The day will close with an evening restorative practice led by me.
This intimate retreat will offer a unique opportunity for teachers of yoga to study closely with Alan and me. It is recommended that you read Alan’s book in advance.
The retreat will be held at the ISHTA London shala at 14 Elsham Rd, Kensington, Monday July 8 – Friday July 12, every day from 10:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. The cost will be £1200. Due to the limited space, we will likely be overbooked, so places will be on a first come first served basis. Please email Katrina first to confirm your spot and she will provide the necessary documents for you to register: katrinarepka@gmail.com
