ISHTA Fundamentals - a Workshop for Beginners, with Kelly Eudailey

In this workshop, you will learn the fundamentals of basic yoga postures in a low-pressure atmosphere, at an easygoing pace. This beginner's orientation is great for students who are hesitant about jumping into group classes, or for those who have questions about some of the foundational practices in yoga. We will break down the alignment of postures and movements that are common in Ishta classes, and explore how the breath can be a tool to enhance focus and presence. The workshop will conclude with the practice of savasana, where you can deeply relax, recharge, and calm the nervous system.

Kelly, a Brooklynite for the last 24 years, has been teaching yoga at Ishta and its previous iterations since 2004. She has a special interest and experience with beginners, seniors, and yoga skeptics.
