We are excited to announce that our ISHTA 200 Hour Global training will run this summer in Helsinki, Finland alongside our New York City Training! Live sessions in Finnish with Mikaela Soldan at Sweet Spot Studio (Unioninkatu 7, Helsinki) 9-12.30 Monday through Saturday

ISHTA Masters Alan Finger, Mona Anand, Peter Ferko and Wendy Newton will lead the online sessions that will run together with New York on our global platform. 15.00 - 19 Monday through Saturday

ISHTA 200-Hour Global Training in Sweden

We are thrilled to announce that the ISHTA 200-Hour Global Training will be offered in Gothenburg, Sweden, running in parallel with our New York City program. This internationally recognized training is a profound opportunity to dive deep into the ISHTA lineage, guided by the wisdom of Kavi Yogi Raj Alan Finger

Over the course of six months, you will experience a comprehensive curriculum that includes lectures, in-depth asana practice, pranayama, and meditation. Whether your intention is to become a certified teacher or to deepen your personal practice, this training is designed to be a transformational journey.

Training Schedule – Gothenburg, Sweden

Hosted at Anna Ahlqwist’s studio on Lillatorpsgatan 18, our in-person sessions will be held:

  • Fridays: 2:00 PM – 7:00 PM

  • Saturdays & Sundays: 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Teaching will be offered in Swedish, led by Helén Jansson, assisted by Anna Ahlqwist.

International Access & Online Integration

In addition to the in-person weekends, participants will engage in live Zoom sessions, offered in English, with master ISHTA trainers including Yogi Raj Mona Anand, Peter Ferko, Wendy Newton, Kristin Leal, and more. You will also gain access to a library of manual texts, assignments and recorded materials through our flexible Training Portal, allowing you to prepare, review, and learn at your own pace.

 

Program Overview 2025–2026

October 3–5 Introduction to ISHTA, Philosophy, and Basic Anatomy

October 31 – November 2 Tantra Philosophy I, Energy Awareness, and the Power of Breath

December 5–7 Chakras, ISHTA Sequencing, and Meditation

January 9–11 Ayurveda, Injury Management, and the Yogi Lifestyle

January 30 – February 1 Flow Adaptation, Restorative, and Yin Yoga

February 27 – March 1 Integration, The Art of Teaching, and Final Assessment

Upon completion, you will receive the ISHTA 200-Hour Certificate, eligible for registration with Yoga Alliance.

Meet Your Trainers in Sweden

Helén Jansson
As an integral part of the ISHTA Global Training and Admin Team, Helén teaches in both 200h and 300h programs and hosts the ISHTA Immersion and Master Programs. After taking her first yoga training in 2009 and teaching Poweryoga on her spare time, she found her way to ISHTA and took her 300h Training in 2015. She earned her E-RYT 500 credential in 2017 -the same year she became a full-time Yoga Coach and Ayurvedic Health Advisor.

Anna Ahlqwist
As a licensed Physiotherapist, Anna brings extensive clinical experience, particularly in back health and physical therapy. She has taught yoga since 2013 (including as a complementary treatment at a Swedish university hospital since 2019). She completed her 300h ISHTA Training in 2017 and holds the E-RYT 500 designation from Yoga Alliance.

Both Helén and Anna has also taken the ISHTA Yoga Nidra, Restorative and Meditation Trainings as well as added Yin Yoga to their portfolio too.
