Nikki first studied yoga in Chennai, India while at University. A highly intuitive and deeply soulful teacher, Nikki’s offerings are truly transformative. A lifelong Tantric practitioner & Yoga teacher, with a background in studio art, professional dance and choreography, Nikki effortlessly threads Yoga Science + Creative Arts. Her classes are a journey from linear to transcendental and are deeply rooted in her knowledge of yoga philosophy, creative arts, and wisdom traditions. In fact, Nikki’s studies in Comparative Religions, Theatre, and Studio Art, afforded her platforms to create and share her professional work in New York City, Florence, Denmark, and Belgium. She is an invited Guest Faculty Teacher and Professeur du Danse et Yoga in Paris at Studio Harmonic, Académie Internationale De La Danse, and LAX Studio. She has led international retreats and facilitated workshops as both a Yogini and Artist in Tulum, Greece, Bali, Miami, Los Angeles, Paris, Switzerland, Bosnia, Denmark, Croatia and of course, in her hometown of New York City. Nikki most recently resided as the official Yoga Advisor for the 2022 Apple TV+ series We Crashed, starring Annie Hathaway and Jared Leto. Her signature trademark, Nikki Baksh: The Movement® was developed during her teacher trainings at ISHTA. As a published international poet, her work expresses the human experience in its most raw, brilliant, honest form.
